This Week in Review
Good writing: one paragraph
Bad writing: hah
Self-condemnatory thoughts: about a thousand
Deaths of people I know: none
Number of ex-friends I thought about contacting but didn't: one
Time spent being amused: about 50 minutes
(10 minutes per hour of TV + 10 minutes on the link below)
Servings of potato chips consumed: 10
Apples consumed: 6
Alcohol units: low
Crying: 5 minutes (during very sad scene in And the Ladies of the Club)
Time in medical offices: none
Time worrying: two hours
Katrina news reading: 30 minutes or so

And now for the 10 minutes of amusement:

the Prankster
(42% dark, 26% spontaneous, 21% vulgar)
your humor style:
CLEAN | COMPLEX | LIGHT

Your humor has an intellectual, even conceptual slant to it. You're not
pretentious, but you're not into what some would call 'low humor'
either. You'll laugh at a good dirty joke, but you definitely prefer
something clever to something moist.

You
probably like well-thought-out pranks and/or spoofs and it's highly
likely you've tried one of these things yourself. In a lot of ways,
yours is the most entertaining type of humor because it's smart without
being mean-spirited.

LATELY. I'm feeling the urge to yell, in response to nearly every moment of this day/week/month/year, "I don't know what anything means, or why anyone does anything, or how they get up in the morning, or leave their house, or talk to another human being, or anything..."

Probably not a good day to start posting again.

But I had to break the silence here, or I might never do it. Here's two interesting links to Katrina related stuff:
From the EMSNetwork.org - firsthand account of the first couple of days
and this, which refers to the story of the firefighters sent to Atlanta instead of New Orleans. Good work, FEMA.
